"Mind-Body Alignment" explores the profound connection between the mind and body in managing anxiety and trauma. Through two thought-provoking films, participants will examine how our mental state influences physical actions. In the first film, a dancer persists in her art despite significant physical challenges. In contrast, the second film follows a character so consumed by climate anxiety that they resort to literally eating garbage as a coping mechanism. The session begins with a grounding body scan, and after each film, participants will identify and respond with kindness to negative internal narratives. The class concludes with a closing body scan, reinforcing mindfulness and self-compassion.
