"Building Awareness About Anxiety Disorders" invites participants to deepen their understanding of anxiety through two short films depicting diverse lived experiences. Guided by an overview of symptoms and treatment options, participants will explore the perspectives of the films' protagonists. The first film, a documentary, presents multiple viewpoints on anxiety, encouraging reflection on the experiences shared. The second, a drama, offers an intimate look at one individual’s struggle with anxiety and depression. Through discussion and reflection, participants will gain insight into these experiences, concluding with an opportunity to set a compassionate intention for supporting themselves and others in moments of anxiety.
Note: This class includes supplementary materials that can be completed at the start of class or assigned as homework. If assigned as homework, the class duration may be approximately 15 minutes shorter.
